I use this in one of my hair spritzes and am wearing patchouli oil today. With a carrier of course. Ylang is very potent too. I accidentally used too much once and can testify about the overly fragrant smell. Never again.

i tend to be careful in general with the EO’s when i mix spritzes because i notice my locs feel hard if i put to much of the oils in. actually i stopped using spritzes for that reason. just spray with plain, filtered water, steam the locs in the shower. i also rinse them for at least 5 minutes, and they are very soft afterward. it’s simple, but very effective. ;-)

i put this EO in my homemade facial toner. it works WONDERS for my skin, it’s great for neutralizing and evening my skin tone and oils.

thanks for the video, i learned some things i wasn’t aware of, great video!

@climbingflowers How did you make your facial toner? what did you put in it?

    • climbingflowers:

      1/2 c. rose hydrosol
      1/8 c. witch hazel
2 tbls. aloe vera gel (the drinkable kind)
      3 drops rosemary essential oil
      3 drops lavender eo
      6 drops ylang ylang eo

i’ve figured out that for my skin type these three eo’s work beautifully together. if you try it, let me know what you think.
